A Love Doomed to Silence: The Confession of a Woman in Love with a Married Man
I’ve mustered the courage to write here because I can’t bring myself to speak openly to the man who fills every thought and feeling of mine. My story began three years ago when I first saw *him*. From that moment, my life split into “before” and “after.”
Our meetings are rare and accidental, yet each leaves an indelible mark on my soul. I can’t think of anyone but him. Time hasn’t dulled my feelings—if anything, love has only grown stronger, twisting into unbearable longing.
But reality is cruel—he’s married. I know his marriage isn’t perfect, but they have a child, and that stops me from acting. I won’t tear a family apart, not when a child’s happiness is at stake.
Other men are around me—free, kind, deserving—but my heart belongs only to him. Never did I imagine that at forty, I’d be consumed by a passion like this, one that’s lasted years.
My obsession has gone so far that I follow him on social media. I spend hours poring over his photos, saving them, creating entire albums. It’s madness, and yet I can’t stop.
In a way, this love fuels me—makes me stronger, more alive. And yet, it drains me too, leaving only emptiness and pain. I exist in the shadows of his life, never truly close.
I know I’m trapped. I can’t go on like this, but I can’t let go either. A vicious cycle with no way out.
If anyone’s been through this, please, share your wisdom or advice. Any kindness would mean the world to me. Thank you.
